This MACRO Summary Report provides an overview of the combined worldwide auction results on a semi-annual basis (HY1) over the last sixteen years (2007 to 2022) at the three major auction houses ( CHRISTIE’S, SOTHEBY’S and PHILLIPS).
The 2 page summary includes an overall conclusion of latest trends based on quantitative auction results over the period:
- number of auctions
- number of lots auctioned
- revenue generated by auctions
This analysis includes all public auctions organized by the top three auction houses over the time period except for the auctions removed from the auction houses websites or those listed in the Definitions & Specifications file.
